I've replaced the head gaskets, no cracks in the heads and no obvious external water leaks, so there must be some sort of an internal problem in the crankcases. The decreasing level of water in the radiator is matched by an ever increasing level of emulsified oil on the dipstick.
Has anybody ever experienced this problem before please or does anybody know a possible cause for the (internal) water leakage? Could it be internally corroded crankcases or is there possibly a simpler solution? Whats the best way to ensure sealing of the crankcase?

I'll second that question. That's a very unusual problem in these cars.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

lower coolant crossover? u mean the one running under the intake? and whts this little bolt?93forestpearl wrote:I use Permatex Ultra Grey with no issues. The sealant is not what keeps your oil and coolant separated though, the o-rings do. Also, if you did not install the little bolt for the lower coolant crossover, you may leak there.
