HVAC doesen't work!

i search around on here and could'nt find what i was looking for..all the buttons on my hvac unit work except the defrost which is really annoying especially when it starts to get ice build up on it...it itermitantly works like it will turn on sometimes than if you just tap the dash or hit a bump it will turn off. any ideas???

Hopefully that will help? Even if you just get another hvac controller preferably from a 92-94.

I was having this issue, except it was with all of my buttons.
I would suggest to take the cheapest route first. Take the unit out, check all connections, make sure everything in there is connected properly.
I did this, and everything has been working just fine ever since.

If its only with one setting, I cannot help you there. If it is with all of them, it is most likely the fan relay, which seem to go out all the time. The relay is tucked up just past he ECU on the drivers side. If you need to get at it, I suggest putting a bit of duct tape on the edge of the ECU, as it will dice your hand up. I learned the hard way...

the wife's wagon HVAC panel died, then worked then died again. I just swapped it out with one of my spare ones. All good again.
