I won't go into details, because i'm trying to recall the last
weekend of automotive brutality, but suffice to say that the
transmission swap is %99 finished and very driveable.
There were a number of things that i didn't expect to go wrong, but
it's never wise to venture into such a project expecting everything
to go smoothy.
I've had it since yesterday afternoon and put 50 miles or so on it.
I'm very pleased with the transmission, even with it being a used 91,
and the clutch feel is very agreeable indeed. The lightweight
flywheel does make it a bit tricky starting in 1st gear, and the lack
of engine torque on the bottom makes plodding around in low rpms a
bit interesting, but i have no real complaints.
I do have a few minor electronic gremlins to work on, but so far i'm
having a good time.
In summary, the car is as fast at 6.6PSI (AVC-R disconnected) as it
was before with 11-13PSI. It's also lighter and just "feels" better.
