Repairing Fuel Filler Neck - anyone tried with sucess?

Post by TrueBlue »

I have an idea for a repair, seeing as there is commercially available fuel-filler hosing (reinforced). This is for the neck area under the plastic "protective" cover at the U-bend.

Has anyone gone down this route? I'd like to know what diameter hosing you went with and what retention you used. I'll likely climb under with my digital calipers and grab a measurement soon.

I have a spare fuel filler pipe I can use to test your fix for you.
pm me with your idea and I'l give it a try.

I got lucky and a local guy was parting out a 93 and its fuel filler pipe had been replaced.
