yesterday i was cruising to see a friend and noticed my needle started to go into the bad zone... pulled over and checked. nothing pouring out, no sight seen problems... started to go again, needle returned, then later started to rise again... so i babied it back home, stopping occosionally to give it a rest.. BUT everytime i had to give it gas to get ON the highway or move through an intersection, the needle would be normal... so this morning going to work i kept it at 4000 whenever possable.... needle never budged past normal... but as soon as i had to be behind someone... up it went... idling just fine... top hose hot, radiator cool... bottom hose cold... thermostat>? i have had comments from anywheres to clogged radiator, to thermostat to head gaskets... im writing off the head gasket as my oil and antifreeze are not mixing, and im not consuming fluids....
someone please help me... or gimme a call with an idea (860)478-0074!!!
im getting sick of 4000rpm all the time!

over heating issue... need help!!!
If the bottom hose is cold, but the top is hot, it sounds like it is most
likely a thermostat.
Smell your radiator cap, if it smells like exhaust, then you probably have a
head gasket situation

Have you ruled out water pump? If you got to keep rpms up to get flow......it would sound like water pump. What I would do is let it idle....have someone else watch the gauge....once it starts goin up...feel the hoses.
Then rev the engine......once the gauge returns to normal.....check gauges again.....that may help diagnoise your problem.
