Rod, I've tried looking through old posts, but am finding it hard to
get the info i'm after. I am about to begin the process of turboing
my NA EJ22, but am after some details from someone who's already done
it.
Did you change your internals, if so, what?
What compression ratio are you running?
Did you use a custom exhaust manifold, or could an original turbo one
fit?
What turbo are you running?
Intercooler details (if your using one)
How much boost can you run?
Did you use your standard intake manifold and throttle body?
What injectors are you using?
What fuel pump are you using?
Sorry, that ended up longer than i had expected. Just want to make
sure i get everything right!
Thanks very much, George, Australia.

Questions for Rod's NA to turbo modifications
George.....he is using the stage 1 kit, with an upgrade to the stage 3 turbo from forced air technologies. www.forcedairtech.com That'll give you basic specs. I believe everything internal is stock for the time being....he however has added alcohol injection....and is running like 15 psi or something crazy like that.....
Stock compression ratio on an EJ22 is 9:1
I'm sure he can give you more specifics....but that's the basics I know.....

Questions for Rod's NA to turbo modifications
Rod got lots of Q's from: "georgerbyrne" <georgerbyrne@yahoo.com>
Yes, by George, I think you see what you're headed for.
Why have you decided not to change to a Subaru factory turbo engine, which could possibly cost less, and be less involved to install, than to turbo your N/A engine ?

Questions for Rod's NA to turbo modifications
Accidently sent Larry all the reasoning, rather than the whole forum,
if you could larry, can you just post that e-mail up. Thanks.
Anyway, back to the topic, one more question for Rod.
What engine management are you using????
So you all know what state my NA engine is in at the moment, i'll
tell you!
It has ported and polished heads Shaved down to run higher
compression
The throttle body has been ground out and polished up (as per the
info from I-Club)
I had my camshafts custom ground to stage 3 road/race spec
Full custom exhaust from the heads back.
4:44 STI gearbox and twin turbo rear LSD

190hp at all four wheels
