I am swapping my EJ22 for the turbo and have everything except the
wiring harness. First place I checked was the factory. Wow, didn't
think I'd have to shove out $500 bucks for one of these suckers. I
then checked with many salvage yards I found around the internet,
but without any luck. Anybody know where I can get a good used one
for atleast half the price of the factory harness? E-mail me if you
can help me out FrmRgz2Rchs@aol.com

(long) I don't know where you might get one but I can possibly help
with a little advice. The first conversion I did was a '93 legacy ej22
into my '84 turbo coupe this was in 1995. The harness I used was
given to me by a friend that had a yard but I had to pull the harness
out. On the older legacy models the engine to ECU harness takes two
routes to get where it has to go. One through the firewall and then
gets entangled with everything else and one out into the fender back
into the car around almost everything into a large plug called a Super
Monster Junction where all wires change color and then gets entangled
with everything else including other harnesses. I removed the fender
pulled the dash and spent almost all day fighting this thing before it
came out. There used to be VW van place in ca that shortened these
harnesses for $450 but will no longer do it at any price and I doubt I
would do it for that amount either. I would just run the turbo motor
and ECU with the n/a harness and add the wiring needed for turbo
control and anything else needed.
