forgot to tell YALL about my shifter swap...

I put a WRX (MY2002) into the legacy... ugh... all i can say is dont.... heres why... the legacy shifter connection to the gearbox is shaped like this: ------[] and connects with the box connector that looks like this: ]------ thats great and all... BUT the WRX shifter is shaped like this -----[ so i gotta make a bushing for the two to meet properly...past that its a bolt on... ya gotta buy a knob as the legacy knob wont fit... and i put in some kartboy bushings at the same time... i like it.... OH! one last thing, you have to grind down the lower left part of the plate that affixes the rubber to the car because it hits when you try to find second... no biggie...the shifts are different, but i wouldnt say shorter, eh i like it@!

The connector to the transmission was a problem for me when i bought
the STI unit. There is a replacement Subaru part that will link them
together, no problem, though it's $40.
