Help with rusted and hidden fuel lines?

Post by sublunacy »

I have a problem the fuel lines above the gas tank are rusted out.
One broke on its own, after fixing it, it broke somewhere further up. Over top of the gas tank.

I need my car to run for one more month so i can put a new headgasket in my motorcycle. when the motorcycle runs good the subaru is getting taken off the road for the summer so i can work on it. so i can turn it into a STRIPPED out Beast, instead of a DD.
( no stereo, sunroof) Built engine etc etc.

I have looked at some service manuals but all i get is part of the picture, ( gas tank and emissions seperated) and it is just about impossible to correctly line up hoses on even a good picture?

Man what a PIA, i have spent about 5 hours tryin fix it already!

Anyway I want to run a new hose, but from where to where?

While im on the subject? what is the deal with fuel cells? are they expensive or illegal? can i install one in my trunk?

Could someone help me mickey mouse the thing back on the road??? Im stumped
"Hows the transition look?"

Pictures would help of which one you are talking about. The fuel lines run from in the car under the rear seat, down the driver side, and out the firewall.
