Urgent, need to know whether WRX seats will fit in a BC-BF l

Post by Josh Colombo »

Title says pretty much what's up. I can get a pretty good deal on some WRX seats. They are definitely better then my old worn legacy seats, which are meant for a wider body then mine, plus are just old. The seats don't come with the brackets, sliders and such, as he used them for his spacaros. I would assume I could just bolt them up to my brackets........but I am not really sure. I would need to rig something with the little bottom seat belt holder thing on mine, so it doesn't go all the way back.

Other thing is my interior is tan.....seats are goin to be black and gray......not the best combo........anyone have any info on re-upulstering.....or even just like a pull over type covers that look good.....I know they're out there.....just have not dealt with any.

Thanks guys

Josh

I think you will be able to make them fit we have done a lot of
conversion work and that involved installing Legacy and good
Loyale seats into just about any subie from about '83 up. You might
have to make some steel brackets if the width is not the same. We used
to take 3" flat steel and run it across the bottom and then mount the
rails to that and it worked great.

They will bolt straight in!
No prob's/mods at all!

You may have to bolt the rear inside bolts through the current
seatbelt plug mounts, but other than that they are the same holes!

I have WRX front seats in my USDM Legacy Turbo.

You have to swap the seatbelt buckles if you have the automatic
seatbelts. Legacy seat has 5 mounting holes, WRX seat only has four
on each, so one is unused. Once they are in they will be much taller
than your Legacy seats.

Thanks for the info.

I need to take some measures and such when I get back in town. He used the rails, so I would have to use the Legacy rails. I need to look more closely at things.

How much are you getting them for? I got them for $300/pair. One of
the seats has some rips on the back though, not very noticeable.
They were taken out since day 1 but one of them was damaged before
delivery.

He want's $250 for them. Which is a really good price. I need to double check on measurements and such to make sure everything works, and they won't look too shitty.

I'd have to drive up to dallas area to get them....but no biggy. How do they look in the car? I was debating on gettin them re-ulpolstered.

All I can say is dfullerton has prodrive seats in his BF5 wagon and they are super. Look very good since he has dark grey leather interior.

How much are you getting them for? I got them for $300/pair. One of
the seats has some rips on the back though, not very noticeable.
They were taken out since day 1 but one of them was damaged before
delivery.

Urgent, need to know whether WRX seats will fit in a BC-BF l

Post by Josh Colombo »

well......I'm getting a good deal on them. They normally run more. Not sure what goin price is. But if they fit and such, I definitely need some better seats. The standard legacy seats are not for performance.

Josh

Gees, they're cheap over there!!!!

The going rate over here is about $600-$800 for a pair of front WRX
seats :( And yet we have soooo many more WRX's!
George.
