Interior questions

Post by __TT__ »

OK so here for my second post,

I own a 94 turbo wagon, previous owner did alot of engine, suspension and brake mods but I'm looking to get the interior back to mint.

so now to the questions

I know i'll never be able to match the "tweed" thats on the doors for the door pockets I need,
but was there a solid black door pocket available for temp untill i find some exacts?

The "Tray" on the left side of the steering wheel that folds out, anyone ever seen a black one that wasn't from a turbo?

and also the little pocket in the center console, there is a blank there now and I have seen them in a beige but haven't ran across a black one.

also looking for a black D piller right side panel.

Basicly was there ever a black interior option that wasn't turbo?

I have black door panels if you're interested and local.

Black interior spray paint/dye is you friend. Learn to love the can. Any decent parts store should stock it. Get the flat black, it matches stock nicely, and covers well... my all-black interior is really a jumble of different colors underneath, including the dash.

I *think* the "tray" pocket is only on '91 and earlier models, they de-specced the interiors a bit '92 and on. Early cars also have vented sunroof shades...

STi wheel fits, I just put one on. I don't know how to wire up the horn/cruise control since I haven't done it yet, but the STi wheel fits and looks great. About the same size so it doesn't feel much different.

Apex3 - What did you do about the airbag? Don't new cars have a different "depowered" airbag system?

My 91 didn't have an airbag, and the wheel I put in had the bag deployed so I wrapped it in suede.
