int wipers controls

anyone here notice that our int wipers have one setting??? the highend legacys of the same years (LSi) came with variable times to set for the wipers... anyone ever try to swap em out.. is it in the stalk, or a ECU control or what?!?!?! i wanna know... this one set time is driving me nuts...

I haven't taken apart our steering column yet - but I can only imagine. I don't think you are going to want to do this one unless you are a very patient, and detail oriented individual. I've had one stearing column experience (tumbler for the ignition) on a Toyota ('87)- I made a promise with myself never to do a column ever again on anything built outside the U.S. after 1957.

But if you figure it out tell the rest of us how it went - maybe I'll have to take that promise back, cuz that wiper setting drives me bonkers too!
