Importing Body Kits

Does anyone know how international shopping works? I absolutely
adore the body kit that Aerotech (www.aerotech.co.nz) produces for
our cars, but I have no idea how to even start with importing parts
(nor does it help that I have had a hard time getting in touch with
them). The only other place I know of is Taka Kaira, who exports
Japanese products - they offer the SYMS kit for the BC/BF cars.

Do you have pics of these kits......either one? The aero kit or the syms kits. I have seen some available....however I have yet to actually see the kits....either in a pic or on a car.....

And.....international shipping can get tricky.....depends on how you do it....mainly due to the funds. Australia won't be as bad as japan.....most likely....

Those kits are both for the second gen legacy, and are on a second gen legacy.

They may be similar......however I've still never seen one on a legacy......

Wonder if we could email them and ask for some pics for the BC-BF kits.

The Aerotech site lists the 1st gen also, and Taka Kaira in Japan
lists the SYMS kit for the 1st gen. Either way, I'd have to import
unless there were any aero kits available in the US that wold fit
our cars. Call me silly, but I think the lines could be a bit more
streamlined - and I haven't been able to locate a touring wagon
bumper to stick on my sedan

I have not seen any pictures of BD Legacy bumper covers on a BC
Legacy. However, I have seen a picture of a GC Impreza bumper cover
(by C-West of all places) on a BC Legacy.

You know, since we're on the subject of bumper swaps - what about
the SVX? There are a few nice aero bumpers available in the US for
that vehicle

Wouldn't that be a crazy hybrid?

There is a pretty nice aero bumper available for the BF Legacy (so
it should fit the BC, right?) from Hippo Sleek: www.hipposleek.co.jp

It's 45,000 Yen, which comes out to about $340 though. I sent an e-
mail to Taka Kaira about it and will post when there is a reply.

I am also going to try to find out how easy or hard it would be to
stick a BD/BG bumper cover on a BC/BF. Looking at images of cars
overseas, it seems that the BD/BF GT Legacies use the same bumper
that the Brightons here do. Either way, there still isn't squat in
the US.

Taka Kaira does have a nice list of things, and a few good
underspoilers that would fit on the Brighton bumper:

Fact is that the BC/BF Legacy is so old now that all Japanese aftermarket manufacturers no longer produce body kits for these models. They're even starting to scrap kits for the BG generation. New Legacy out soon as well!!!!

Does that mean we just take what's available for newer model Legacies
and shape them to fit? If it will work for an RS skin, I'm sure it
will work with a BD/BG skin

Trouble with the BC/BF is that the front bumper (don't know if you've ever taken one of these off) which has a strange notch mounting by the indicator. The rest of the, yes, we could have a butchers to get later generation kits on but the front would almost certainly not fit. Almost best to get a custom made job.

Aside from that, are there any ways to sleek out the lines of the
car?
