Climate control ( a/c ) problem

Post by kd78 »

Can anyone help with a Climate control ( a/c ) problem?
The dash display is not working... nothing on screen and there is no fan or a/c.
the fuse under steering column is OK, and the fan in engine bay is working.

Some times the circuit board gets cracks in the traces or wire connections, causing it not to work. Take it apart and have a look.

I had a very similar problem. I found that just taking it apart, cleaning up all the contacts solved the issue. Thankfully, thats all it needed.

Upon searching this problem, cracking of soldered joints is a somewhat common thing.

I take it you probably have the automatic climate control correct?

If so, it too also probably suffers from the cracked solder joints. Check out this thread for some more info.
