Gas gauge doesn't work. Question.

My gas gauge has a mind of its own, I usually fill up the car every
200 miles. But if gas is really low, will the fuel warning light
still come on? I know a lot of Legacy has the faulty gas gauge
problem.

Mine is just a little on the conservative side, almost never reading
over the full mark when it's very full, and going well past the empty
mark. The light does indeed go on.

I'd carry a can of gas and see how far you can go on a tank. I
usually get around 300 miles on a tank.
