"grounding mod" Q's

Post by SPUMONI_RT »

Should I relocate the chassis ground to a diffrent location or just clean it up? Also should I relocate the starter ground, for example delete the little bracket that it has to ground to and just put it under the bolt holding that bracket. Is there a better location in the starter perhaps?

Thanks

imo, bigger wire, cleaner connectors, multiple grounds, run in sequence

What does "run in sequence" mean?

Don't know.

You should have a single point ground. All wires lead back to one spot.

start at ur passenger strut tower and and ground the wire to the body, intake manifold ect. ect.

in sequence means to make your 10 or 12ish wires act as one wire. start your next wire from the last place you bolted your previous wire

Resistance is additive. Why would you want to daisy chain a bunch of small length wires together? The connection point at the beginning will have a different (albeit small) resistance than the one in the middle of the chain.

Run all the connections you add back to one single point.....like octopus legs going back to the body.

every spot i hit is a ground, and it all ties in with the strut tower, battery, block in a few areas.

after doing mine i noticed improvements even in simple things like rolling up the windows.

that said im no pro at electrical, so your way may very well work better.

As you experienced, anything over the old stock wiring will definitely be a benefit.
