1. What are the stock spring rates on our car(s)?
2. What aftermarket springs are available and what
are the spring rates for those? AFAIK, there's only
the Whitelines.
3. Can we use any suspension components for a GC8
impreza?
Thanks.

Spring Questions?
1: i'm not sure, probably in the low to mid 100s.
2: See 3.
3: Pretty much any part that fits on a GC8 will fit the BC-BF just
fine. The Whiteline make a wagon-specific spring, and that's a great
choice, but not the only one.
The "cheap" route for a great non-"true"-coilover setup is the Ground
Control coilover-sleeve/AGX combo. I've heard mostly good things
about these and Rod even has a set on his wagon. Strut tower braces,
endlinks, etc... all fit fine EXCEPT for the swaybars. The GC8 rear
bar will NOT fit on my BF, so make sure you get one that's made for a
Legacy.

Spring Questions?
just trying to confirm here...I can use springs for a GC8 (such as tein, which we carry) on a 91 Legacy Turbo? have heard mixed thiongs about the rear strut tops not working.
As for the coilovers, I would not recommend the GC's at all....it is a sleeved unit (albeit a beefy one), but we have seen LOADS of these fail even on very light cars (ITS CRX's, etc.) A true coilover is the better way to go, but a fair bit more expensive. The dedicated coilvoers from Tein, JIC, Cusco, and others are far ahead of the curve, and many include new strut top mounts (pillow balls, adjustable for camber in front, fixed in rear) as well...depends on the brand
