They had the old Legacy Rally car at the 2001 Auto Show here in T.O. The
stats on the car said it had 200 HP and the hood was open and it basically
looked identical to my car. Thus, there was NO intercooler. I've been
wondering ever since what was done to get that extra 40 HP. The subaru guys
that were by the car didn't know but told me that it is the same engine as
mine.

polishing, when an engine is rebuilt with supreme car and precision,
a significant increase in hp can occur.

MBC = Manual Boost Controller. Stock = 8.7 psi, and the 2.2 Turbo can
handle about 10-12 psi w/o an intercooler, and an ungodly amount with
an intercooler.
