On my second legacy (a sedan) I noticed that the antenna wasnt extending.
After a little troubleshooting I found the connector from the vehicle
harness to the antenna was removed.
I fixed this and found the antenna would stay down and click. It took quite
a while to clean all the crap out of it (why didnt the previous owner ever
wipe the thing down!). Now the antenna will go all the way up and down.
During travel it will click, as if jumping the "track" inside. Anyone have a
suggestion on an easy way to fix this? Should I just find someone parting
out a legacy and grab that antenna?

Antenna issue, clicking
I just ripped the damn thing out and filed it under weight
reduction.
Radio sucks anyway, and Clear Channel can lick 'em.
But really, I did take out my antenna, and the reason that mine was
clicking is because one of the telescoping rods was bent, and it
wouldn't extend all the way, so yes, the gears would slip in the
track when it got to that point, and stop when the antenna was
supposed to be at full height.
I don't know what exactly your problem is, but if you want my
antenna, it's free, just pay shipping.
