STEERING

my 90 legacy with 73k has a strange steering problem.
the allignment is straight, but if i say, do a U turn,
the wheel will be canted about 30 degrees to the left.
if i then do a hard right turn, the steering wheel
will be canted to the right. if i do left then right,
they cancel eachother out and the wheel is straight.
if i shake the steering wheel, it straightens out.
not sure if it does it with the power steering belt
taken off (is there a separate belt on a legacy?) i
can fix most stuff, but i've never had a car with
power steering before, especially one with an electric
hydraulic pump.
