Bad fuel pump?

Post by ericem »

I am thinking tomorrow I will try swapping fuel pump assemblies. I realized if I ease into the pedal it pulls pretty good. If i just jump to 1/2 throttle for ex. just doesn't pull when the turbo is spooled. So my plan is to swap the entire fuel pump assembly from my touring wagon, to my sedan and sedan to the wagon. Can I do this with no issues? 92 wagon to 94 sedan. Also questioning the DP tomorrow I will check compression on the motor as well.

1) yea, the pumps are the same
2) done a fuel pressure test, per the FSM (documented in the 'Stuff you need to know' forum ?

Ya just I do not feel like spending the money on the guage so I figure I have this extra car might as well swap the whole assembly over as a test.
