What an idiot. I used a scrap piece of wood and a small 3 lbs. sledge if the rubber mallet wouldn't pop it. I had the rear end of a Jag fall on me and that wasn't fun.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.
That must have been on there pretty good. I usually just take my fist or palm and hit the tire on each side until it breaks loose. Works almost every time. If that doesn't work use a hammer or mallet. No need for ridiculous methods like that.

Stupid vw's my friend wanted to put his snows on his jetta in the middle of winter was like -20 outside AND in his garage. With slow and ice and wind!!! So there was one wheel we were literaelly trying to get it off for 2 hours. We only had wd40 which isn't the best and it wasn't pressurized so barely sprayed. After 1:30 of kicking the tire. Pop a hole in the wd40 bottle and poured oil alll over the rim. Let it sit for a few mins came back out, one huge kick STILL DIDN"T COME OFF!!! THEN took out a air hammer for his compressor since we found it. Started to loosen, gave it a kick BAM!! OFF!!!!!!!!!!!! VICTORY. Car is now this... POS!! LOL
Started pouring oil around the oil pump so decided to scrap it since it couldn't be driven and he bought a Kia Forte Me and a few "people" finished it off with a FEW MORE kicks in a few different spots (but we didn't want to crack glass in the school parking lot haha).

Could you spray antiseize on the wheel mounting surface instead of grease?

I do this all the time with no issues what so ever. Once they are off I clean the crap off and anti-seize them so I don't have to do it again the next time the car comes back. As long the car is racked properly and your not a moron, there should be zero issues. There are a few vehicles I will not do this to such as a G-Wagon.... I hate racking them things.
