who makes a good set of pistons for the ej22t engine?
1993 Turbo legacy wagon. (elboostio) $600
(Anyone can turn a wrench, but how well does he turn that wrench)

My Wisecos have held up well over the years. Their noisyness depends on how loose your machine shop makes them.


Just make sure you gap the rings properly. Wiseco includes a nice sheet stating what kind of ring gap you should have based on goals.

I had the shop bore my engine fairly tight and they make no noise at all.
94SS.Wiseco forged pistons,TD04,TMIC,WALBRO 225,440's,3" all the way,revtronix stage 2,enough other crap to fill the internet.

Now did you just use ej22t pistons or like ej20 ones?

Ej22t forged pistons,they do make a kit just for our engines.bore it and drop them in.

^ It is listed in their catalog. They have .020" or .040" overbore options, so the block must be bored and honed for installation.


If you are going through the trouble of a full engine teardown, bore, and rebuild, spend the $350 on a set of Eagle rods.
