Idle Issues???

Post by CAV3MAN227 »

I have a 92 t-leg and I'm having some idle issues. what its doing is when I'm driving and i come to a light and push in the clutch, just about every other time the car dies. what could be the cause of this? sometimes the car idles high, 900-1200 rpms, after i kick the clutch to restart the motor before coming to a light. and sometimes low, guessing 100-300 rpms, if the car doesn't die coming to a stop. I'm confused on what to do to fix this. any links or advise would be appreciated! thanx...

Search for Idle Air Controller or IAC

Most likely your issue is related to your IAC... needing to be cleaned or possibly the vacuum line to it is leaking?

Are there any mods? Coffee-Cup mod? Sometimes those are shitty and cause vacuum leaks.

Its most likely going to come down to a vacuum leak or IAC issue.

like spencer said, it's most likely vacuum or IAC related. The IAC on my last car didn't even have any lines coming off of it it was basically just sitting there, mine did the same thing. Search and you will find :D
