I'm hoping to start working on the actual block next week and one of the things I'm wanting to check with the motor out of the car is the clearance on my cams/valves. I've always had the HLA's so this is a little new to me and I haven't collected many specifications. I do have access to a machinist set of feeler gauges but I need to know what the acceptable clearance is.
So, what is the acceptable valve/cam clearance for EJ20K heads?
Also, what year/model car do I need to go in and ask for a set of valve cover gaskets? I know this has been covered fairly recently and a search will net the answer, but just incase someone has the info readily available and is willing to share. Otherwise I'll get off my lazy bum and search .
Use both the specs and gaskets for a '97-'99 EJ25D.
'98 Impreza 2.5RS or '98 Legacy Outback EJ25 would both be good examples. Both would be DOHC.
'93 Winestone SS Auto, '91 Pearl White SS.
'93 Pure White SS EJ20G slanty intercooled, SIDESWIPED! In stasis.
'94 FWD and '95 AWD Laguna Blue SVXs.
