Who is running an STi fuel pump?

Was it an ok install? Don't these need a controller or something? I have put a walbro in my DD so I know how easy that is.

It was 'plug n play' on mine....although the pump is smaller, so didn't fit perfect.

EDIT:....and I apologize for adding bad info....I now recall that it was an STi pump, but it came w/an install kit (probably a Walbro) that I used.

I just updated my post above....
And I don't remember how I connected it. :-(

Can you move the connector/plug from the old pump to the new?

I see the difference...but sorry to say I can't remember how I dealt w/it.

Here's a pic of an STi pump for future reference -looks like the WRX:

BTW, the WRX pump is not an upgrade to the stock SS pump.....but if yours is dead, I understand why you're installing it.

The WRX and SS are about the same; STi is a step up; the Walbro a BIG step up....there's a post on here w/the comparison.

I too ran into this problem. Bought an STI pump because it was a lot cheaper than the walbro and went to swap it with the stock one and found out the connector is different. Then I was like,"WTF guys how come nobody mentioned this!?" lol

Now the STI pump is sitting in my car or in my garage somewhere in a ziplock bag.

the walbro kit that vendors sell comes with the needed adapter to make the pump work with our connector plug in. it also comes with a space so it fits nice. easy install on my wagon. i may have pictures

i didn't take the best picture of the wire adapter but you get the idea. the little rubber space fit perfect under the pump so it didnt move anywhere. this kit could have worked with a oem pump from a new wrx or sti btw

Sweet! Can't wait till I get mine. What is better the hose clamps or just use the spring loaded ones?

BTW I bought a 190LPH. The vendor I bought the pump from made a good point about the fact that the stock fuel regulator shouldn't take much more fuel then it was intended too. 190 is still a upgrade from stock. More curious to see how the car responds.

Maybe I'll get the walbro pump and sell my STI pump then.
