sunroof motor?
hey guys im not quite sure if its the motor or what, but my sunroof is stuck open (up), when i push the button i can hear a click but it doesnt budge. it used to work SOMETIMES, now it just doesnt work at all, should i see if i can snag a motor for cheap or do you guys thing its something else?
I would bet on the switch more than the motor. I believe there is a crank in the center console and you can close the roof with it from somewhere. Not sure where though lol. I can not find this on my car actually and was curious.
Did you try pushing the button really hard, or multiple times to see if it budges? I am sure there is a relay somewhere too.

You know what mat maybe hit the back area shown in this diagram where the motor and control unit is. If it works, it is probably something back there.

DUDE Matt...I had this car once remember? You gatta hit where the buttons are with your fist..that always worked for me HAHA
Or use the crank hole in the back
other than that there is a problem somewhere, I just never worried about it cause it doesnt leak
****EDIT* nevermind, didnt realize the dates on this thread. I thought it was about matts current car *EDIT****

yea, this was about the Radio Flyer, worked perfectly when I bought it, and about a week later it went to crap, I replaced the switches and no luck. It seemed to work on and off. My new car works "most" of the time! And no swimming pools in the drivers seat!!

Manual crank is directly above and center of the back seats but you can easily miss it actually. It's covered by a plastic plug in the headliner. I would never have thought to look there.
Try cranking it. It it's hard to crank or won't crank at all, maybe the cables have dried up and siezed. That's how my sunroof was.

I've actually fixed this issue a few times already on mine and my sisters. It's faulty micro switches that tell the controler what position the sunroof is at. they are little and black near the motor on the drivers side. There are three two of them are together and one is by itself.
they should be replaced or I just took them out and soaked them in electrical cleaner works well
