Headlights to tailights and everything in between.

Best place to tap into fuel pump relay?

Post by macipusy »

I am planning out my standalone ECU and wanted to know where the best place to tap into the negative wire going to the fuel pump relay. I know I can probably tap into it at the stock ECU, but I plan on installing the standalone on the passanger side.

Where does this wire run behind the dash or passanger floorboard? Is it easy to get to or should I just tap into it at the stock ECU location?

I'd suggest tapping into things at the stock ECU location. You're going to be chasing wires all over the place. Other option would be to completely rewire the sensors and the like for the stand alone. That'd be A LOT of work though.
