5speed ceter diff in an auto box?

Is it possible to but a 5speed center diff in place of the electronically controlled center diff in an auto box? I figure this would give better constant power split and eliminate any possible torqe bind from the auto diff going bad. Or am I just crazy?

Well it's going in an SVX, were changing the gears to 4.11s and I was just wondering if when I was in there maybe I could trash that stupid elect center diff. I guess not.
