Cam degree wheel....
Anyone ever use a cam degree wheel on these motors? I bought Crawford Performance's adjustable idler pullies, but not exactly sure how I'm going to attach the degree wheel to the cam pulley.

Any ideas are welcome.
Thanks

Re: Cam degree wheel....
Perhaps just determine what degree changes you want to experiment with and get a machinist to mark the cam pullies themselves,if you know what i mean. For what im thinking it wouldnt really matter where on the pully so long as you pick a neutral point with a pointer like they have shown and then just have marks offset from that "home mark" at whatever amount you want.Or just weld a metal protractor the the face of your pulley

94SS.Wiseco forged pistons,TD04,TMIC,WALBRO 225,440's,3" all the way, revtronix stage 2,enough other crap to fill the internet.

You could sacrifice an extra set of pulleys to drill and tap holes in. I've got some laying around if you need them.

Cool,
Thanks Dan. I'll see what type of attachment hardware comes with the wheel I bought, and figure something out.

Re: Cam degree wheel....
Got the cam degree wheel. I apparently got confused by summit racing. They put instructions of their more expensive and inclusive kit with their cheap timing wheel. So all I got was the wheel and few spacers. To make it work, I need about a 3/4" spacer and a longer bolt to attach the cam degree wheel and spacer to the cam.
I can fab up a pointer out of some tie wire. Once I actually get the motor together, we'll see if I bother with the wheel or just eyeball it with the timing alignment marks.

I need a damn Bridgeport mill with an indexable rotary table at home so I can make these kinds of things instead of buying them.

I want an English Wheel, large metal brake, bead roller, shot bag, and an assortment of mallets, too.
Midnight in a Perfect World on Amazon or order anywhere. The first book in a quartet chronicling the rise of a man from angry criminal to philanthropist. Midnight... is a distopic noirish novel featuring 'Duchess', a modified 1990 Subaru Legacy wagon.

The HAAS Tool Room Mill we had at school would be nice. I think they are only in the low to mid 20's pricewise, depending on options.
I would want the Snap-On guy to stop by once a week too.
