Are those sneakers special in some way? I don't know anything about shoes.

Maybe you should rice them out a bit... Stick a blue LED up near the front of each of them, paint on a racing stripe (driver's side only), maybe you could even fabricate a little spoiler to fit around above the heel. And then add the stickers. Each sticker adds a horsepower. Think about your own strength plus the strength of four horses!!
