External tranny filter

Post by THAWA »

How often should this be changed if at all? I haven't seen any guides that say this needs to be changed so does it? I'm talking about the one that was added later at the dealership or whatever.

I never replaced mine until I did the EJ22T swap. My tranny died shortly thereafter.

The entire filter kit is only something like $12 from a dealer (filter, bracker, hoses, ground wire, clamps) , the filter by itself costs more. If i could do it again, I'd just replace teh whole kit every time i changed tranny fluid.
