Are the STi 440s plug and play?
Or are the too low an impedance for the stock ecu?

I don't think they will bolt up if the WRX ones don't. I suppose if you got different rails they might. in that case, I really don't know? too low impedece would suggest a voltage clamp would be a good fix, but then that would sorta defeat the purpose of the solenoid.

I was actually talking about the older style (v4 STi) injectors. They use the same side feed as our cars so they should fit. The red ones(440cc), not the pink ones(550cc).
Hmmmm, I guess I could try the resistor thing.

injectors
Perhaps you guys could help me...I have a 91 Legacy Turbo Sport with a 94 JDM wrx EJ20 engine swapped in. One of the injectors doesn't seem to be able to "close" all the way, and leaks out the fuel pressure when the car is off. This causes the car to have a hard time starting, i think one cylinder is sort of flooded. Anyways the cars fuel rails and injectors are wrx. So they are 440cc injectors, I think top feed if i remember correctly. I am desperate to find a place I can buy a set of 440cc injectors for an older (94) wrx. Anyone have any ideas? I was also thinking about maybe sending them to one of the places that rebuilds and cleans injectors. I don't know if they'd be able to fix my problem. I know the injectors had been cleaned previous to this problem starting. Anyways, I haven't been driving the car for months (and its winter in VT) trying to get plugs, but just havn't had any luck. I suppose australia, nz or the uk might be the place for me to look.
Much thanks

These are from the 2nd Gen (1996) Legacy Twin Turbo and are 473 cc. don't know if they'll fit though.

Those are side feed injectors.
Give RC Engineering a call, tell them your problem and see if it's something they can fix, or if you would need new injectors www.rceng.com

You could get 440cc STi side feeds. Look here to find a picture of them: http://www.rallispec.com/
They are the red ones (for the DOHC engines).
Although, I would talk to Adam at Z1 performance. He might be able to source a better deal.

injectors
I'm really curious about the side feed vs top feed injectors. The ones that are linked to for the legacy twin turbo on ebay, it looks as if the electrical connector goes in the side, but doesn't the fuel rail attach from the top. I only ask cause this is how it looks in my legacy, electrical connector on side, fuel rail attached at top. Could someone maybe post picts of side andworm top feed injectors maybe even in an engine bay, or side by side?
And does anyone know for sure whether those legacy twin turbo's are 440 o 470 and whether I could run 470ccs in my leg turbo without too many mods, maybe an s/afc or sumthin. Although I am already running 440cc injectors on an EJ20 turbo engine, I am running totally stock EJ22T engine management although I have a snorkusectomy and used to have an MBC, although thats not it right now.
Much Thanks...I ramble
Of course that doesn' even touch impedance and all that jazz

injectors
Another question for you guys...does anyone know if the 94 JDM wrx and liberty rs (single turbo) use the same injectors? Or how I can tell side feed from top feed?
Thanks

I know this isn't the best picture.....but this injector is side feed.
