Identify this connector

Post by kleinkid »

Going to put the OE radio that was in my OBW into this 94SS. Have a connector spliced into the wiring and ready to put the radio in, but have this other small white connector, two wires, hanging around and don't know what it is for. It is white and has another connector plugged into it that is also white, with some foam around it.

The wires are yellow/blue(YL) stripe and white/yellow(WY) stripe.

The wiring diagram shows these colors for Ash Tray Illum Light, Cruise Control Switch Illum Light, and Height Control Switch Illum Light. The ash tray already has a light connector thing there.

What is the cruise control switch illum light connector for/at?

Obviously no height control on this sedan. Maybe the connector is there for this but not used?

The pictures show the connector with and without the end pig tail on.

I'm pretty sure I have that connector unused as well. Couldn't tell you what it's for...

Well, sounds like it can stay back inside there and not not connect to anything, at this point.
