My next Mod: 4eat FWD -> 5mt AWD

Post by mTk »

This has been a great year for my car, my dreams for it have progressed farther than i had imagined.

This year i swapped in an ej22t, now i am about to do the lovely 5mt AWD swap.

The reason for the changeover is that my stock fwd 4eat decided it couldn't handle the power of my new engine and crapped it's pants.

Looks like so far i've sourced the tranny, clutch, flywheel, axles and driveshafts

I still need the rear crossmember, gas tank, shift linkage, clutch reservoir, slave cylinder, and hubs.

It should be pretty straight forward, though i'm sure i'll have a few questions for the board :)

I believe I have a full set of Legacy Turbo clutch hydraulics (master cylinder/reservoir, damper, slave cylinder, and hoses) around here somewhere... PM me if you're interested.

You should ask ciper if he still has the turbo rear brakes for sale. The other parts you can find cheaply in a junkyard.

For shift linkage i may be going to go with the STi assembly.

Update

I will be using the WRX shift linkage

Almost every part is on it's way now, the only thing i still need is the the first section of the center driveshaft.
