Found a new product today by Do-Luck, which from what i understand, is a pretty manufacturer in Japan.

sweet...I wonder if this is like the wrx one that you can attach a four point harness too, and other stuff like fire extinguishers and camera mounts...

the one company I have seen selling a harness bar type thingie that could be used to attach 4points...well, I remember them making at least as big a deal about its chassis stiffening abilities as its usefullness for a harness....I could be remember it poorly though.

I know about those harness bars. Unfortunately, the front seats in the BC/BF are set so far back and the b-pillar so far forward that using one would not be convienent.
But these are a chassis support type bar. I remember when Super Street Magazine installed one of these in an Honda Accord quite a while back.. said it decreased chassis flex by a ton! Maybe worth it for someone?

I'm gonna do some cage work to my Turbo befor I put it back together. The chassis flexes all over the place on these things. I'd like to just keep it as a rear cage with a harness mount attaching to the stock seatbelt mounts and on to the top of the strut towers with a cross bar behind the front and rear seats, and then a good triangulated front sturt brace. I think this would make a world of difference in stiffness and handleing and still be daily drivable with 2kids in the back.

Jason. . . Speedware Motorsports in Redmond makes those for WRXs. I'm sure they could alter the design slightly to work for Legacies as well.
This Link will show you their product and how to get a hold of them for custom applications. Seeing as how the WRX and the Legacies are similar enough in size, I don't see why it'd be a big deal for them to do some minor alterations to their already good design for you.

I have an idea for a "triangle" bar, would it work?
Imagine a bar running from near the drivers head (left roof beam) to the top of the hump (driveshaft and exhaust). Another bar runs from the top of the hump to near the passengers head (right roof beam). Then a bar runs between the two roof beam attachment points. The Hump attachment point could use a u shaped bar to hug either side like the cross bar does. The triangle would be angled so that the hump attachment point is right at the rear seats.
The vertical bars would run at a 25 degree angle looking from the side of the car and a 45 degree angle looking from the rear.

Sounds good. . . . but if you're going to have a partial cage in the car anyway, why not enable the attachment of harnesses, as some of the other products do? I mean, if the car's being used for such activities that might require the bars (or at least the rigidity) the use of 4-point harnesses would either be required. . . or at the very least, beneficial.
