What style of heads?

Post by Baddog »

So I am going to have to replace the motor in my friends 92 Legacy. So while the motor is out I want to cam it. Only thing I need to know before I have Delta grind me some cams is what style heads it has.

I know it has HLA's. But does it have roller rockers?

Generally, Legacys have flat tappet followers. But not as a rule. I, personally, have found a '95 with roller followers and have heard isolated reports that others have found them on earlier engines, as well.
Its a pretty safe bet that you have flat-tappet followers but its best to check.
