EJ22T Header / Exhaust Manifold same as STi

Edit: Just remembered that the newer ones have the bung for the front O2 sensor..can't use the ol' EJ22T- easily.


I have a header left over from my Legacy EJ22T projects and since my '04 EJ255 is getting rebuilt wondering:

#1: Will it fit? (The '91 EJ22T had the oil cooler; my '92 {and '93-'94} did not.)

#2: Improvement over the stock EJ255's ?

I checked part numbers and they're different, which I would expect, but may be the same size?

I've read the STi header is better and wondering if by chance it's the same?

yes, it will fit.

Kleinkid has an STI manifold in his garage, and it looks virtually identical to the stock 22t one.

For all intents and purposes they are pretty much the same. The up-pipes are identical, even if they are different part #'s.
