Bosch Fuel Pressure Regulator for parallel setup
I did away with the factory fuel line setup and made my own parallel setup, for now it is cheap but should work fine. I used a driver's side fuel rail on both sides and used the factory hard fuel line flanges to run fuel teed in one side of each rail then out the other side, then they are teed in together for the return. I don't have the money right now for an Aeromotive FPR but I had a Bosch FPR part no. 280 160 222 laying around. I tried looking it up to get some info on the pressure rating, and I so far only found one site that states it is 56psi. My question is, will this be too high running the 550cc(520) yellows with a Walbro 255L?

Re: Bosch Fuel Pressure Regulator for parallel setup
Assuming the regulator is 1:1, it should act the same as the stock fpr. I'm not sure if that is a max pressure rating.....but 56 psi would be way too high for an idle pressure.
Do you have this all hooked up already?

No, I haven't installed it. I was trying to find a pressure regulator that I could easily hook up that doesn't bolt to a rail and has similar pressures to oem, something that you can hook hoses up to. This Bosch has both in and out that are flared for hoses instead of having a nipple that is meant to slide into a rail like the one on our cars.

Re: Bosch Fuel Pressure Regulator for parallel setup
I can't find any decent information on the Bosch fuel pressure regulators so I had another idea. I thought about using two passenger side rails running dual oem pressure regulators, one for each side. Would this be a bad idea having each bank running its individual fuel pressure? This would only be temporary until I buy a Aermotive FPR in a month or two. I just bought a 95 Impreza LX Coupe for 800 bucks so kinda broke right now.

Re: Bosch Fuel Pressure Regulator for parallel setup
The Bosch FPR is probably going to be ok. It would be good to test the fuel pressure with a pressure gauge if it use it.
Honestly, if you just need another month or two to buy an Aermotive FPR, just wait to install everything until you buy all the parts you need. No need to install things twice or refab things.
