EJ22t coolant crossover question

Post by 2.2TLegacy »

I feel like its been so long since i've had this car torn apart that I have almost forgotten how to work on it.

My question is, the coolant hose that connects to the drivers side pipe of the coolant crossover, where does that hose come from?

I have too much crap blocking my view on my motor and i am trying to collect as many parts as i can before I pull the intake manifold (car is daily driver).

Are you talking about the coolant crossover pipe and the pipe on the back of it; that goes to the heater core. The one that comes under the head comes from the heater core to the suction side of the pump.

The one that angles up slightly goes to the coolant resevoir.

Here's a pic or two

I've got tons of rebuild pics you can look at between the two projects.

Mine looks a little different with the ej20g intake manifold since the IAC is attached to the drivers rear of the manifold.

What connects to the pipe i circled?

Take the hose off the top one in the photo, and put it on there. It will head over to the heater core.

I have the ej22t coolant crossover with ej22t wiring harness and an ej20g intake manifold. Everything fits fine, though when I was running an ej25d intake manifold I had to shave a couple spots off the manifold.

For that pipe that you were asking for a part number in the other thread, I didn't have the JDM piece, so I ran heater hose under the intake manifold to the stock 20g coolant tank position. I'd love to get the factory piece someday to clean things up.
