the LS with airbag suspension has the height button there.
i dont have interior pics, but on my 92LS you see on the right is jacked up on the airbag suspension.
the other 3 are 91ss's.

my canadian 92tw has the LE badge.

my 93ss has a blank just like the 91ss.

Thanks man not I am not too keen on the looks of the second gens.Someperson wrote:you interested in a gutted GT wagon? w/ f&R bumpers? only rust it has is front fender and a bit of wheel well rust. will post pics next week, otherwise will be parting out and scrapping. My awd swap parts car. paint resto is req'd as well
looks nice, a lot cleaner than this one, I need to find a place for it until I can swap everything over....I tell you one thing though, if i went through all the work to swap everything over and still had that clunking, I would go fucking insane lol.sqc151 wrote:AAA the first 100 miles.xise wrote:ooooo.....such an expensive tow though....it is black just like a sex panther should be though
heres some pics just in case it comes down to you needing a shell.
(front xmember is not included, its on there so i have something to rest the dolly on and move the car around if i have to)
you can have the whole car for 200.
since there is no drivetrain you dont have to strip the car. its all cleaned up on the bottom. just take off the good parts from the 93 and install on the 91. i have the hvac controls and the center console just needs to be painted black. other than that everything is there or swap out what u dont want from the 93. its basically just a clean shell for you to move your stuff over in one shot like i did a few years ago with (2) of my 91ss's.

its definitly a shell worth saving. which is why i havent scrapped it yet. its got alot of life left in it as far the body goes. id hate to see this car go to the scrap yard. its a perfect donor car.
Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
Got around to doing the oil pan today

gasket surface all cleaned up
Of course this had to break when jacking the motor up

luckily I had some spares from the other motor
I decided against using the cork felpro gasket that Mark gave me along with this motor, I used aviation grade sealer so it should hold no problem.

Going to use these grimmspeed gaskets to get the exhaust back together.

Oil pan, exhaust manifold and new motor mount all in place

teaser picture of the AOS installed

with any luck this will get installed along with my WRX intercooler

Good idea. There's not supposed to be a gasket for the oil pan.

Its coming along nicely.

thanks, I think the last thing that is left leaking now is the steering rack, probably the hard lines....still gotta buy that rear member from this NASIOC member for cheap...then i'll be in business.

I am thinking of just cutting off my muffler and welding in a straight pipe out to the hanger....this car is just way to quiet, and it would be cheaper than trying to buy and then modify a catback from somewhere, plus a 3" exhaust is totally unnessecary at this point, hell even the headers are overkill right now...I could us a catless DP though

I'll be sure to give a full report, I just cleaned my throttle plate and entire intake with that heavy duty cleaner so i'll see any oil blow by for sure.
I also took the liberty to cut off that WRX muffler and weld in a straight pipe and a nice Stainless tip from the parts store. Sounds like a subaru now, and not super loud or obnoxious either, just beasty as fuck, might need to add a resonator once I go catless though
I'll take some pictures later, I might unbolt it so I can do the welds a little better

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
I want to get the correct fuel rail that will fit so I can run bigger injectors, would stuff for the V1-4 STi or WRX work? like these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-Impreza- ... cd&vxp=mtr or anything else other than the N/A legacy fuel rails.
I was looking for something aftermarket that will work, I know there is probably a thread on this somewhere but I am far too lazy to look right now...also what years fuel rails work N/A legacy/impreza from 92-99??

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
Those rails appear to be for top feeds, which you don't have. Our motors have side feed injectors, and unless you want to switch intake manifolds or really get into modifying things.
The type of fuel rail depends on what you're going to do with engine management. You can't just be upgrading injectors without doing something about the engine management. IMO, the best upgrade solution is the Robtune ECU with JECS MAF, 92-94 non-turbo fuel rails and USDM STi 550 cc/min yellow injectors.

what josh said. i have the rob tune ecu set to 18psi with supporting mods going in the wagon. check out my build thread for mods and you see whats being done.
Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
i'll check it out, I picked up some stuff for my tmic today, going to weld some really small 1 7/8"- 2 1/4" piping together along with some tubing couplers for my tmic...not sure why people were mucking around with samco hoses when I got everything I need for like $15
I just want to get a bunch of stuff so I can one shot all this stuff and really make this panther come alive
I want to get the intercooler all straight then do the AOS, the fuel rails, lines, FPR, tank and fuel pump/sending unit, turbo injectors, MBC and downpipe in one fell swoop.....I guess I'd need an FCD or a tune at that point also eh?

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
Not a lot of people have welders. Paying someone to weld is probably just as expensive or more than a silicone hose.

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
I suppose that is true, this way seems a lot easier, and probably even if you had someone weld it together it would take all of 15 minutes....samco hoses are at least $70 and up I still think this way is less expensive...I just need to find a very small 1 7/8" rubber or silicone coupler though...that might be kinda tough to find...
Now that I look at it I think I am going to repaint the oil pan, i'll clean it up with a wire wheel and tape everything off around it and spray it black...I hate looking at nasty rust.
Also seeing how that most of the car is solid from a trans fluid and PS fluid leak kept all the surrounding metal in great condition lol...the "spray" from the leak never made it to the rockers so they rotted away...I really want to just cut out the rocker panels and weld in new pieces of metal...any suggestions as to a good way to do that or if there is a place to get pre-bent or fitted metal pieces? I'd rather not swap everything into a new chassis if I can avoid it...I am 99.9% sure I found the source of all this clunkity clunk, i'll take some pics of what I found when I get er back on ye olde lift.

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
I originally had a brand new blue samco y pipe and matching 3" tb coupler I was going to use but I don't like flashy colors in my engine bay so I found an obx one of basically the same quality for $50 and sold mine for like $70 lol. The install was really easy once you have the exhaust pipe you can get at autozone.

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
yeah I actually forgot that I had bought this aluminum y pipe that I had to cut to line up w/ the 07 tmic, I need a silicone hose there and one to connect to the turbo, a very small one....so I guess I spent closer to $25 as of right now, after the 2 hose couplers probably another $10 or so...still not too bad.
Now I just need to finagle fitting my HKS bov and try to keep the chimney in place
I'll probably set the bov to 50/50 recirc/vent just so I am not wasting fuel when I lift off the gas....speaking of which I still need to either buy some new hard lines, make my own of just use rubber hoses.....either way that's getting done once I get my new rear crossmember...THAT should be tons o fun lol

Re: Xise's 1993 Legacy Turbo
was mapping out the fuel system so I can add some shinies to the engine bay and freshen up the fuel system at the same time.....

I was trying to decide on a good size for the hoses for fuel delivery purposes... I was thinking 6 AN would be fine, the only problem is I wanted to use these 90 degree fittings at the end of the rail, they are purple and match the theme I was going for but it looks like they only come in 10 AN...which IMO is waay too big. I just want this whole setup to be nice and clean looking, not convoluted or with tubes going everywhere...
I am going to use an aftermarket FPR but keep it in the same stock location if I can...everything else will just be a steel braided fuel hose, after the engine bay everything else will just be factory rubber hoses and hard lines...after all no one is going to see any of that crap.
I just wanted to use something that stands out, the purple would have been perfect, I am not too keen on the red/blue hose ends...I might just end up using the black anodized hose ends, I already have a few from the PS fluid cooler I was going to make for the 240sx so I might as well make good use of them, maybe I can get some cool colored braided hose or something.
I also really wanted to use an after market fuel rail or an unblemished one from a newer subaru....what exactly causes the STi rails to not fit??
