Power antenna broken
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this but...my power antenna is broken. I can still hear the motor turn on and off but there's an audible series of clicks when the antenna is trying to go up and down. It's as if the motor is good but whatever causes the antenna to move has come apart. Anyone have this happen to them? Any suggestions?

Well its probably too late for yours but antennas should be cleaned and lubricated every once in a while.
You may be able to save it. Spend time pulling it out and use some WD40 on it. Clean it until nothing is left on the rag then cover it and push it down. When you pull it up again more gunk will be stuck.
I did this to one of my legacy and got the antenna to work 95% (still clicks at the bottom but at least it moves)

How hard would it be toconvert to an L manual antenna? I suppose you'd have an ugly hole in the back, though.

Hmm... I'll have to do this. Mine still works but I'm getting clicks and it doesn't extend all the way sometimes.ciper wrote:Well its probably too late for yours but antennas should be cleaned and lubricated every once in a while.

Well, mine is shot. It won't even stay up by itself. I'll have to replace it soon but I've noticed that since it only stays up about halk way I can't get the reception that I used to get. This may prove to be a problem with the S2000 antenna. I may need a longer one also.
