so its cold as balls now in washington and I've noticed that my car is running kinda weird.. not bad just weird.
Normally i pull around 9-10 psi boost. but for the last week or two I've only been getting like 6-7 I'm just curious does the cold affect performance? also i put some pretty thick gear oil in for a road trip could that cause issues?
Like i said this is a recent development.

Re: strange observation
Its funny you mention that. I'm feeling like I've gotten a little more Umnph out of my SS since it's been freezing. And you're more then likely just down the road from me. Cars Like cold air, to me it's a noticable difference at WOT now vs. a WOT pull in the summer.
Are you sure it's 6-7 psi and not 5? I ask because 5 psi is the ECUs Limp mode function, which indicates a problem.

Re: strange observation
its probably limp mode, but my boost gauge is getting old and could be giving me incorrect indications. I do have a lingering trouble code for the iacv and I've had that problem for years PIA looked at it and said its most likely wiring cause I've changed the whole valve assembly with other valves. I did just do a long road trip to souther california and back, but car ran fine with the exception of my radiator shitting out 100 miles from my destination.

Re: strange observation: SOLVED
coolant line running into the turbo was loose and leaking coolant. tightened and problem solved itself.
