Finished re-fitting my exhaust. Now chasing what I'm pretty sure is a boost leak over 8-9 psi.

Got a 2.5 RS UEL header modded to fit my Legacy last weekend. I took it to an exhaust shop and they turned my cat into a J-Style since I replaced it a few months ago and didn't want to buy another. Then they did a little extending on the header. Sounds pretty good imo.

Got my STI yellow injectors installed in EJ25D rails. Still trying to figure out where my boost leak is coming from, I feel like its the IACV gasket.

Just did the 3/4 sunroof stop bypass. Other than that, I've gone from red/clear to red/amber/clear tails and finished clearing the retrofit headlight lenses.

Installed my intake and turbo inlet today. Turbo inlet is the AVO kit and the intake is the Apexi maf tube and filter.

Im gunna do a full write up on my ps setup in my build thread next week. Including all part numbers. But basically its a wrx pump with mishimoto remote reservoir and Russell -an lines. The line that comes out just under the air filter is the return line. That is where yhe reservoir will be mounted. And final line will be ran back to the pump

I have a spare wrx pump and reservoir but I am hoping to keep my hybrid ej22t pump/20k pump mounted reservoir. I want to keep it simple and not have extra hose and remote reservoir cluttering up my bay. I just need some custom lines. I attempted to bend the ej22t lines and that just kinked them so my ps doesn't really work.

Yea with the turbo inlet I had to get rid of the pump mounted reservoir. I think the stock setup is a little cluttered but the clean looking reservoir and -an lines work well with my over all look. Im trying to figure out how to keep all hoses to a minimum on this motor cause I find that is one of subarus flaws is just hoses and wiring laid out all over the place

Exactly. I have a very similar turbo intake hose but the 20g/k forester pump reservoir is shaped differently to clear the hose. My hose is right up against the reservoir.

Well I'm not ready to part with it until my ps is working again. I might need it. Not sure if my pump is shot either but until I get new hoses I can't tell if its the hoses or the pump. The rack is freshly rebuilt.

So in between my 40 hr work weeks and my bachelor's degree I was able to research enough info to fight my way through a headgasket job on my own. Never even pulled an engine before let alone disassembled one.
Anywho, I got everything buttoned up and dropped the motor by myself the other night(don't ask me how I managed that one without a foot pump on the crane) and then I started her up. Everything was great except a slight tick that I previously had became a little worse afterward. Needless to say, this drove me crazy. So today after work and homework I pulled the valve covers off and removed the rocker assembly. Then replaced 4 of the lifters and bled the others. Restarted the motor and voilà everything sounded superb.
In addition to the lifters I also installed my rear lip tonight. It works but as I like to say "good from a far, but far from good." This is wisdom to live by not only when observing vehicles but potentially fine women as well. Gotta watch out for those forty yard fake out ladies.
Here's some sassy photos for reference purposes:

Image

This is the night I dropped the motor. I should have waited for help instead of using bad language toward my car:/

This is my lip. Its not perfect, but oh well. Ill keep working on fitting it proper.

Freshly milled heads[SMIRKING FACE] anyone who needs machine work done in the pdx/vancouver area might want to consider Dusty's machine shop. Super friendly guys who charged a great price and did good work in an INSANELY quick manner.

Chased down my mystery boost leak some more yesterday. AWIC, related hoses aren't leaking. Replaced the BPV with a lower mileage one. New IACV gasket and TB gasket. Intake manifold gaskets were new in January. Vacuum hoses are all clamped or zip tied tight. I guess I'll have to break down and drive to the next town to get the hardware to make a boost leak tester. I can't think of where it could possibly be coming from. Fuel rail to manifold seals maybe?
