WRX Pedal Assembly?

Post by James614 »

Will a WRX clutch/brake pedal assembly work on our cars? I know they used electronic throttles (eew), but can I get a set without the throttle and use my stock throttle pedal?

I have a set sitting here waiting to go in my car when I swap in the 5mt. The mounting looks the same as a Legacy.

IIRC, there is one or two bolts that are 'close', but not exactly the same place. The remaining 4 bolts are the same.

'02-'05 WRXs (2.0s) are also throttle cable, and the accelerator pedal should work fine.

I have a set for sale and can confirm the 02-05s are cable throttle. They will work and iirc you may need to swap out the sensors in them

I tried putting an 02 wrx pedal assembly in my Legacy awhile back and the clutch master bolts didn't line up if I remember right.

For the sake of future searches, What bolts/holes are off, The Clutch Bolts only, or are the bolt holes for the brake booster off as well?

Yep I'm doing it, Almost 2 year bump.

I have that awful screeching sound every time I push in my clutch. I need it gone.

Has anyone got some photos or solid information before I commit to buying a newer pedal set?

Spray some lube up in there? There is a big spring assembly that helps with the clutch kickback. If you push your seat back all the way, or remove it, it's pretty easy to get into. I bet you it's just caked with crap.

I could do that, but that would be too easy.

Maybe I was just using that squeeking as an excuse :-D
