Someone on NASIOC did something like this. It was a voltage clamp, but with more evil than a normal voltage clamp. It would clamp down 14.6 PSI and leave voltage constant until 20 PSI where it would start reading normal again. essentially this up'd the fuel cut to 20 PSI.

hit the bullseye!!

Hopefully when I get the JoeP MBC boostjunkie talked me into, I'll have less spiking and I'll be able to run closer to the boost I want to. It's a pain to be running 10-11 lbs and to still get the occasional spike. "vroomvroomvroomcough.......vroomvroom!" kind of a killjoy.

I hadn't thought of the timing issue. I know my fuel mixture is unaffected. I'm running around 10 lbs right now, and with the check valve in place, I'm still as rich as I normally am. the sluggishness I mention may be retarded timing I suppose.

Well, Igg, I think the point of the richening is that your mixture is meant to get more and more rich as boost pressure increases, not that the mixture's supposed to remain the same. As a simplification, pulse width depends on the MAF sensor reading to provide a more-or-less stoichiometric ratio, and then it's increased based on boost to give a richer and richer ratio as boost increases.
