IHI turbo parts?

Post by -K- »

Does anyone know of a source for components for IHI turbos? I have a Ford turbo that I was going to put on my Legacy by changing the up-pipe to the Garrett flange. But the exhaust housing is cracked to hell around the wastegate :( So here I go, I want to find a Subaru flanged exhaust housing to fit on my (bigger) turbo. It would save me the trouble of the up-pipe flange change and getting a new turbo. BTW I got this turbo almost free off a running car so I'm like, why not play with it.

IHI Turbo America is located at Route 16 West RR3 Box 36 Shelbyville,IL
phone is (217) 774-9571. If that fails you could try Turbo Engineering Co in Golden, Colorado.

Ok, I got the turbos apart and found they have the same exhaust turbine as well as I can tell. Also just the same as a Loyale turbo. (I have a thing for turbo subarus that started with a GL-10) The difference is in the exhaust housings and the compressor housing + wheel. So now I'm just going to swap the exhaust housing to the T-bird turbo. The compresor is bigger and the whole thing will bolt back on.
