Went to Mr. Lube (canada's version of Jiffy Lube) and paid out the ass for a 12 liter flush and replace with Synthetic Fluids.
Instantly noticed a difference in 1st gear pull and my 2nd to 3rd shift is much smoother.
At stoplights the car doesn't vibrate anymore either...
I kept the filter, pan and gasket in place during this process as The place made you sign a waiver if you wanted all that stuff replaced...
