how to remove radio?

Post by 93Leg-c »

HELP!!! Can anyone help me find the screws or whatever that's holding my radio in (93 NA)? I found the two screws behind the cup holder but where's the rest of them? I've broken so many things before thinking they are held on by clips only to find out that they weren't.

I'm trying to get to the antenna lead to see if it's loose. When I have my radio on and driving, it cuts in and out when I accelerate or decelerate. And I haven't found the ground to the antenna yet--is there one?

Somethimes when I turn on my A/C, the radio will also cut out too.

Anyone with ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Should I have posted the above in the "Electrical" section?

You'll need a stubby phillips screwdriver because the screwheads are vertical and the pocket below is quite close.

There's also 2 at the back of the radio, if its never been messed with before. Use a flashlight to look in the space between the radio and the rest of the car, on both sides.

If that doesn't make any sense whatsoever, lemme know... I just woke up! :)

you can also use a rachet to get at those screws :) also no it's good here, it's not really an electrical question.
