The factory service manual says to use "Three Bond 1105 or equivalent" sealant on the threads and then to tighten to 33 ft-lb.
Three Bond 1105 is part number 004403010 from the dealer, but you could probably just use any thread sealant meant to handle the temperatures seen there, or just hope enough sealant remains on the threads from last time.

Thanks vrg3
I'm still tring to get the money together for the ecu patch harness, as soon as I do I'll let you know. If your still willing to build one for me.
I am still willing. You may have to wait a week or two for me to find time to build it though. If you want to put a small deposit down I could start building it now and then it'd probably be ready when you had the rest... PM me if you want to do that.

I may do that, just depends what subaru says about my flex plate. PM me with your preferred method of payment and how much of a deposit you want. Also how or where you want the payment sent.
Thanks
Well it looks like I will be replacing my flex plate.
Does anyone have the automatic transmission section of the FSM, it would really help me.
I've read the threads for removing the tranny, but I need the torque spec's for everything.
I was hoping to get the scans for the transmission removal, but if noone has the scans i will settle for all the related torque specs for the installation of the flex plate and transmission.
Thanks
The parts don't come in until tues-wed, and I won't be starting til nex weekend so anytime really. If you can't get to it by then, no big deal
just when ever you can would be great.
Thanks
Troy
I tried to get the drain plugs off the rear diff, and they just wouldn't come loss. I tried an impact gun and a 3' breaker bar with no luck.
Any ideas as to how I can remove these?
I haven't tried heating it up, but as far a a bigger breaker bar goes I can't fit a bigger one in there do to the lack of space under the car. I'm going to get it on a lift this thursday hopfully, that way I can get a longer breaker bar on it. I am scaried I'm going to strip the plug and have to drill it out (don't want that).
On a good note, I got my new flex plate, flex plate reinforcement, at oil pan gasket, and replacement external atf oil filter kit. I guess it will be a busy weekend for me.
